Why would I want to remove remote video sources?

Category: AutoView Exporter

If you have videos which are linked to an AutoView presentation, but which are not stored with the other presentation files you may find that they become unplayable after the presentation has been exported. This could be for one of three reasons:

  1. The presentation has put onto an CD/DVD and is being played on a computer which has no internet connection. If a presentation is to be put on a CD/DVD we recommend that you only use videos which are stored on the same CD/DVD.
  2. The video is being stored on a server which the user watching the presentation doesn't have access to.
  3. The original video file may be removed at some point in the future.

However, if you are not making a CD and the remote video sources are on a public server (and are unlikely to be removed), then it is safe to leave remote video sources in place.
