  3. noscript element added to added to the autoview.php XSL file. Contains a 'Javascript Required' message along with the presentation and slide titles so that search engines have something to index if the presentation is public.

Webcast update
by Tim Williams - Friday, 20 February 2009, 10:24 AM

Apologies for any problems you might have had viewing the webcast last night. The wifi hub in the lecture room appeared to have broken and the remaining hubs in the building where the presentation was taking place only gave 15-20% signal strength which kept dropping out. This is still a test system, so some problems were expected, but this wasn't one of them.

We did eventually get the stream going about 8pm and it only dropped out once more during the course of the presentation.

Birmingham Linux User Group Webcast
by Tim Williams - Wednesday, 18 February 2009, 03:28 PM

We've been experimenting with live broadcast using flash technology recently, with a view to possibly integrating this into AutoView in the long term. In the short term, we will be testing the technology by making occasional webcasts of local events. You can access these webcasts here.

The first public webcast will be Scott James Remnant of Ubuntu, presenting to the Birmingham Linux User group on the subject of Upstart at 7.30pm GMT, 19th Feb 2009.
